At Gutsy Dame, we are deeply passionate about empowering young, plus-size women to show off their deliciously curvy assets.
We encourage plus women to feel confident, strong, and beautiful, and express their personal style by providing figure-flattering, trendy, and unique clothing from Canada and the U.S. in sizes 1X to 5X (14/16 to 22/24).
We strive to make a difference in young women’s lives by being a catalyst in the journey toward self-confidence, self-esteem, and body acceptance, not only by providing fun clothing options, but also a community of women aiming for the same goal: body acceptance and pride.

We exist because we know it takes "GUTS" to:
- stand up to an ideology that renders fat women invisible, unworthy, ugly, unhealthy, and a problem that needs solving
- even say the word “FAT”
- show off and be proud of a big, fleshy body in our culture
- not hide yourself under baggy, tent-like clothing
- say “I will not apologize for my size”
- realize we are all invaluable, beautiful women
And also because I like the play on words. (You may not have a gut, but I do!) :)
Why we stand out:
- we use real people as models, not professionals. we strive to represent as many body shapes and sizes as we can because, despite what the plus size fashion industry would like us to believe, real women aren't all perfectly proportioned size 12's.
- the ability to search by size, the detailed size charts, and extra Fit Tip's enable you to be sure the item of clothing will fit when you get it. no surprises. except maybe how great you will feel in it!
